The Wake

Yesterday was Jody's wake. It was strange being at that house without him. Seeing his urn didn't make me sad, what made me sad was looking over in his room, what made me sad was his uncle mike saying he talked about me a lot. Tim was there and was more than civil to us, he acted like nothing had happened. We talk forever about Jody and funny stories about him and I sat there and thought I hope when it's my time people will have fond memories of me, the kind that make you laugh and smile even though you're sad. When he was around there was always laughter, it's what kept you from getting mad when he did something stupid. As Tim said his middle name was Jody his first name was God Damn It! Afterwards we went to our friend ricks house started a fire talked some more before we called it a night. We will miss you Jody, we'll see you again someday. Next time we're rolling the dice we'll think of you. Goodbye.

Well my study is almost over, last week was my last over night. It was pretty uneventful lots of t.v. and video games. I have 3 more blood draws and a final physical on the 7th. I get paid on the 11h.

Yesterday was my 31st birthday. We played a few games at a local arcade called 1984. $5 all you can play old school games! Then we came home and had popcorn and watched a movie.

The wake for Jody is today. It's not something Crowe or I are looking forward to being in that house and our memories there will bring up a lot of things. I think we're going to have to get away so tomorrow we're going to Silver Dollar City, just a chance to get our minds off of things.

Well that's it till next time. See you all soon.

Goodbye old friend.

Things started out so good yesterday, all of that changed when crowebasalt called me broke the news that a good friend of ours died. I spent most of the day in a haze told a few other friends that's when it hit me. I wasn't really sure what that feeling was, it was just, blank. This morning the sad hit me, it seems to be getting worse. The wake is on the 28th the day after my birthday. I don't really know what to say. We'll miss him.

Human guinea pig part 2

Well my first weekend is coming to an end. Yesterday morning we gave blood at 7 a.m. then it was just sitting around till 7 p.m. when we did again. It amazes me that some people do this almost for a living. One guy in the other study had to stay yesterday because he live so far away and still had another blood draw. He saw that I was online and told me to check this website: http://www.jalr.org/ He then told me it had a list of all the places you can go to do this.
It seems this guy just travels from place to place doing studies. This morning I gave blood twice and the doctor checked me out I think there is one more blood draw right before 11 a.m. and then I'm out for a while. until sometime next week then I do an overnight. The next week it's a sunday a.m. through wednesday a.m. I can't wait till it's over so I can get things taken care of money wise.

Human guinea pig part 1.5 a.k.a. please stop making me drink water.

The blood draws aren't that bad even if my arm is starting to hurt (because one of the nurses didn't know how to find my vein this morning). I don't mind the dumb guy who laughs at everything and thinks he's everyones friend. I don't care that both televisions are on Steel Magnolias. But Man I have never had to pee so much in my life!

Human guinea pig part 1.

First off, you may notice all my entries are gone. I needed a change so I deleted everything got a paid account some new icons and just changed things around.

Now to my week so far, some of you may recall our IRS problems. We paid part of it with money loaned by my boss and our stimulus check paid the rest. So now we are just now we are just left with paying my boss back. I've taken on a medical study to earn some extra money I had to do a bit of fasting before hand which left me cranky and hungry. Did some blood draws and test.

I checked in last night and now have a new name, Subject 008, we did some more draws and test. Since my number is 3rd lowest I'm 3rd to do everything including test and eating. Had taco salad with a root beer for dinner and the rest of the night was just sitting around they have 2 televisions and whoever gets the remote decides what everyone watches, last night it was wrestling and E! news. At nine someone put in Band of Brothers, I hate war movies because my dad use to watch them so often when I was young so I went to my bed and started reading my copy of american psycho, I wanted a top bunk since I hadn't slept on one since I was little, but the fear of falling off settled me on bottom bunk instead. Lights out was at 11 p.m. It was so cold. The man behind me snores louder than ojayden. Wake up at 5 a.m. not unusual to me, but it was funny watching everyone complain about how early it was. Then someone fell of their top bunk, lol. Took my pill at 6 a.m. then it was blood draws every hour while I watched Goonies. There are two studies going on, mine which had four people(now down to three after one guys blood came back bad?) and the other that has forty people. They have it worse than us they are having blood drawn every fifteen minutes. crowebasalt who I miss so much brought my cpu, I tried to wave but I don't think she saw me. I looked around on amazon then this update. It's now time for lunch. More updates later.
